What is Sema Life Solutions?
Sema Life Solutions is a Ugandan health technology platform that connects patients with medical specialists for both physical and virtual consultations. We also support labs, prescriptions, medication delivery, and secure patient record storage.
How do I book a consultation?
Create a profile on our platform, search for the specialist you need, select a time that works for you, and confirm your booking. You can choose to visit in person or consult virtually via video call.
Is a virtual consultation as effective as an in-person visit?
For many conditions, including follow-ups, chronic disease management, mental health, and general consultations, virtual visits are just as effective. Your specialist will advise if an in-person visit becomes necessary.
Are my medical records kept private and secure?
Yes. All patient records are encrypted and stored securely. Only you and the healthcare providers you authorise can access your records.
Can I use the platform if I am outside Kampala?
Absolutely. Our platform is designed for patients across Uganda. Virtual consultations mean you can see a specialist from any location with internet access.
How does medication delivery work?
Once your specialist issues a prescription through the platform, you can request delivery of your medications directly to your home or a convenient pick-up point. Delivery timelines vary by location.
